11. Formal Translation And such were some of you, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus {Kyrios Iesous, Saving Authority} and in the Spirit of our God {Pneuma Theou, Holy Cleanser}. |
11. Dynamic Translation That is what some of you once were, but you have been washed clean, you have been made holy, you have been put right with God in the name of the Lord Jesus {Kyrios Iesous, Transforming Lord} and by the Spirit of our God {Pneuma Theou, Life-Giving Presence}. |
