14. Formal Translation
The unbelieving husband is regarded as holy through his wife, and similarly the unbelieving wife is regarded as holy through her husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are consecrated.
14. Dynamic Translation
Because of the believing spouse, the unbelieving husband is set apart through her, and in turn the unbelieving wife is set apart through him. If it were not so, your children would be defiled; but now they are considered holy.
