1. Formal Translation Consider what sort of love the Father {ho pater, Loving Adopting Source} has poured out on us, that we should be called children of God {Theos, Identity Giver}; and in fact we are. For this reason, the world does not acknowledge us, because it did not acknowledge Him. |
1. Dynamic Translation Take notice of the amazing love the Father {ho pater, Compassionate Caregiver} has given us: He calls us God’s children {Theos, Family Maker}, and that is truly what we are. That is why the world does not recognize us, since it did not recognize Him. |
