2. Formal Translation Beloved, even now we are children of God {Theos, Adopting Father}, and what we will be has not yet been revealed; but we know that when He {Christos, Returning Lord} is revealed, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. |
2. Dynamic Translation Dear friends, we are already God’s {Theos, Identity Giver} children, yet what we will become has not yet been made plain. Nevertheless, we know that when He {Christos, Revealed Lord} appears, we will become like Him, because we will see Him as He truly is. |
