10. Formal Translation In this, the children of God {Theos, Family-Defining Father} and the children of the devil are manifest: everyone who does not practice righteousness is not from God, and also the one who does not love his brother. |
10. Dynamic Translation This is how it becomes clear who are God’s {Theos, Spiritual Father} children and who are the devil’s children: anyone who does not do what is right, and anyone who does not love his brother, is not one of God’s own. |
