3. Formal Translation And he gave a sign on that day, saying, “This is the sign which the LORD {Yahweh, Sign-Giver} has spoken: Behold, the altar will be torn apart, and the ashes on it will be poured out.” |
3. Dynamic Translation That day he gave a sign from the LORD {Yahweh, Miracle Worker} and said, “Here is the sign: the altar will break open, and its ashes will spill onto the ground.” |
