| 10. Formal Translation Therefore, behold, I {Yahweh, Just Judge} will bring disaster upon the house of Jeroboam, and I will cut off from Jeroboam every one who urinates against a wall—both the restrained and the left free—in Israel, and I will burn away what remains of the house of Jeroboam as one burns dung, until it is finished. |
| 10. Dynamic Translation So now, I {Yahweh, Righteous Ruler} am going to bring harm on Jeroboam’s family, wiping out every last male—slave or free—in Israel, and I will consume the house of Jeroboam the way dung is burned up, until nothing remains. |
