| 21. Formal Translation And Rehoboam, the son of Solomon, reigned in Judah. Forty-one years old was Rehoboam when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD {Yahweh, Name-Establishing King} chose from all the tribes of Israel to set His Name there. And his mother’s name was Naamah the Ammonite. |
| 21. Dynamic Translation Rehoboam, Solomon’s son, became king in Judah at forty-one years of age, and he ruled for seventeen years in Jerusalem. The LORD {Yahweh, Tribe-Selecting King} chose that city from all the tribes of Israel so that His Name would be set there. His mother’s name was Naamah, an Ammonite. |
