| 13. Formal Translation He also removed his mother Maakah from being queen mother because she had made an abomination for Asherah. Then Asa cut down that abomination and burned it at the brook Kidron. |
| 13. Dynamic Translation Asa even dismissed his mother Maakah from her office, since she had made a revolting image for Asherah. He cut it down and burned it in the Kidron Valley. |
