| 4. Formal Translation Yet for the sake of David, the LORD his God {Yahweh Elohav, Covenant Protector} granted him a lamp in Jerusalem, raising up his son after him and keeping Jerusalem established. |
| 4. Dynamic Translation Still, because of David, the LORD his God {Yahweh Elohav, Faithful Promise Keeper} gave him a lasting light in Jerusalem by raising up his son after him and securing Jerusalem. |
