| 14. Formal Translation For thus says the LORD {Yahweh, Faithful Sustainer}, the God of Israel {Elohei Yisrael, Covenant Lord}: The jar of flour will not be used up, and the jug of oil will not be lacking, until the day the LORD gives rain upon the face of the ground. |
| 14. Dynamic Translation For this is what the LORD, the God of Israel {Elohei Yisrael, Israel’s Protector}, says: The jar of flour will not run out, and the jug of oil will not run dry, until the day the LORD {Yahweh, Rain-Bringer} sends rain on the ground. |
