Exegesis

The relative clause asher-hu yoshev sham {אֲשֶׁר־הוּא יֹשֵׁ֣ב שָׁ֔ם | ʾăšer-hû yōšēv šām} situates where he stayed, and the Hiphil vayyashkivehu places the boy ʿal-mittato {עַל־מִטָּתֽוֹ | ʿal-miṭṭāṯō} “on his bed,” highlighting compassionate care.
