1 Kings 17:19:1וַיֹּ֥אמֶרvayomerand he said
1 Kings 17:19:2אֵלֶ֖יהָelehato her 1 Kings 17:19:3תְּנִֽי־לִ֣יteniligive {feminine singular imperative} to me 1 Kings 17:19:4אֶת־בְּנֵ֑ךְetbenekh{direct object marker} your son 1 Kings 17:19:5וַיִּקָּחֵ֣הוּvayikkakhehuand he took him 1 Kings 17:19:6מֵחֵיקָ֗הּmekhekafrom her bosom 1 Kings 17:19:7וַֽיַּעֲלֵ֙הוּ֙vayalehuand he brought him up 1 Kings 17:19:8אֶל־הָעֲלִיָּ֗הelhaaliyato the upper chamber 1 Kings 17:19:9אֲשֶׁר־הוּא֙asherhuwhere he 1 Kings 17:19:10יֹשֵׁ֣בyoshevwas staying 1 Kings 17:19:11שָׁ֔םshamthere 1 Kings 17:19:12וַיַּשְׁכִּבֵ֖הוּvayashkevehuand he laid him down 1 Kings 17:19:13עַל־מִטָּתֽוֹ׃almittatoupon his bed
19. Formal Translation
And he said to her, “Give me your son.” And he took him from her bosom, brought him up to the upper room where he was staying, and laid him on his bed.
19. Dynamic Translation
He said to her, “Hand me your son.” He took him from her arms, carried him to the room upstairs where he was living, and placed him on his bed.
