28. Formal Translation And the report came to Joab, for Joab had inclined after Adonijah, though after Absalom he did not incline. And Joab fled to the tent of the LORD {Yahweh, Holy Dwelling}, and he grasped the horns of the altar. |
28. Dynamic Translation When the news reached Joab, since he had backed Adonijah but not Absalom, Joab ran to the LORD’s {Yahweh, Sacred Refuge} tent and seized the horns of the altar. |
