| 12. Formal Translation And it came to pass, as he heard this message, while he and the kings were drinking in the shelters, that he said to his servants, “Prepare yourselves,” and they set themselves against the city. |
| 12. Dynamic Translation When he heard this message, he and the kings were drinking in their tents. He ordered his officers, “Get ready!” They then took up their positions around the city. |
