| 13. Formal Translation And the two men, sons of worthlessness, came and sat opposite him; and the sons of worthlessness testified against Naboth before the people, saying, “Naboth has blessed God {Elohim, Covenant Judge} and the king.” Then they brought him outside the city and stoned him with stones, and he died. |
| 13. Dynamic Translation So the two worthless men came and sat facing him. The scoundrels gave false testimony against Naboth in front of the crowd, claiming, “Naboth has cursed both God {Elohim, Divine Authority} and the king.” Then they led him outside the city and killed him by stoning. |
