9. Formal Translation But you are a chosen race, a priesthood of the King, a holy nation, a people set apart for possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him {Theos, Sovereign Caller} who called you from darkness into His wonderful light. |
9. Dynamic Translation But you are the chosen people, the royal priests, a holy nation, God’s {Theos, Covenant Possessor} own treasured people, so you can announce the wonderful deeds of the One who brought you out of darkness into His amazing light. |
