11. Formal Translation And it came to pass that all who had known him from the day before yesterday saw, and behold, he was prophesying with the prophets. Then the people said to one another, “What is this that has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?” |
11. Dynamic Translation From the day before yesterday all who knew him saw him, and to their surprise, he was prophesying together with the prophets. The people asked each other, “What has happened to the son of Kish? Could Saul also be among the prophets?” |
