11. Formal Translation Samuel said, “What have you done?” Saul replied, “Because I saw that the people had scattered from me, that you had not come at the appointed time of the days, and that the Philistines were gathering at Michmash.” |
11. Dynamic Translation Samuel asked, “What have you done?” Saul answered, “I saw my men deserting, and that you had not arrived at the agreed meeting time, while the Philistines were assembling at Michmash.” |
