Repetition of the participial clause wə-nōsēʼ kelāyw aḥărāyw {וְנֹשֵׂא כֵלָיו אַחֲרָיו | wə-nōsēʼ kelāyw aḥărāyw} ‘and his armor-bearer after him’ emphasizes close support.
