14. Formal Translation He would strike the fork into the basin, pot, kettle, or pan. He would take for himself whatever it brought up. Thus they did so for all Israel who came to Shiloh. |
14. Dynamic Translation He jabbed the fork into the basin, pot, kettle, or pan, and claimed whatever it pulled up for himself. This was the practice for every Israelite who came to Shiloh. |
