1 Samuel 2:36:1וְהָיָ֗הvehayaand it will be
1 Samuel 2:36:2כָּל־הַנּוֹתָר֙kalhanotarall the one remaining 1 Samuel 2:36:3בְּבֵ֣יתְךָ֔beveitkhain your house 1 Samuel 2:36:4יָבוֹא֙yavowill come 1 Samuel 2:36:5לְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֺ֣תlehishtakhavotto bow down 1 Samuel 2:36:6ל֔וֹloto him 1 Samuel 2:36:7לַאֲג֥וֹרַתlaagoratfor a piece 1 Samuel 2:36:8כֶּ֖סֶףkesefof silver 1 Samuel 2:36:9וְכִכַּר־לָ֑חֶםvekhikarlakhemand a loaf of bread 1 Samuel 2:36:10וְאָמַ֗רveamarand he will say 1 Samuel 2:36:11סְפָחֵ֥נִיsefakheniattach me 1 Samuel 2:36:12נָ֛אnaplease 1 Samuel 2:36:13אֶל־אַחַ֥תelakhatto one 1 Samuel 2:36:14הַכְּהֻנּ֖וֹתhakehunotof the priesthoods 1 Samuel 2:36:15לֶאֱכֹ֥לleekholto eat 1 Samuel 2:36:16פַּת־לָֽחֶם׃סpatlakhema morsel of bread
36. Formal Translation
And it will be that everyone who remains in your house will come and bow down to him for a piece of silver and a loaf of bread, and will say, “Please attach me {sephach: join, connect} to one of the priestly orders so that I may eat a piece of bread.”
36. Dynamic Translation
Then every surviving member of your family will come and humble himself before him for a coin and a loaf of bread, pleading, “Please give me a place among the priests so that I can have something to eat.”
