30. Formal Translation
Then Saul’s anger flared against Jonathan, and he said to him, “You son of a perverse, rebellious woman {naqam: twisted, defiant}! Did I not know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to your own shame and to the shame of your mother’s nakedness?”
30. Dynamic Translation
Saul became furious with Jonathan and said to him, “You son of a twisted and rebellious woman! Do I not know that you have sided with the son of Jesse—to your own disgrace and to the disgrace of your mother’s dishonor?”
