Exegesis

The opening imperatives lechu-na {לְכוּ־נָא | lə-khū nā} “go please” and va-hăkhinu od {וַהֲכִינוּעוֹד | va-hă-khi-nū ʿōḏ} “and prepare further” use Hiphil and Qal forms with entreaty to create urgency.

Finally, kî ʾā-mar ʾē-lay ʿā-rûm ya-ʿrîm-hû {כִּי־אָמַר אֵלַי עָרוּם יַעְרִמְהוּ | kî ʾā-mar ʾē-lay ʿā-rûm ya-ʿrîm-hû} pairs the causal conjunction kî with an adjective-verb construct in the Hiphil imperfect to stress habitual shrewdness.
