| 26. Formal Translation Saul went along one side of the mountain, and David and his men along the opposite slope. David was hurrying to depart from Saul’s presence, and Saul and his men were surrounding David and his men to seize them. |
| 26. Dynamic Translation Saul advanced along one side of the hill, and David and his men moved along the other side. David was rushing to escape Saul, while Saul’s men pressed in to capture them. |
