4. Formal Translation But just as we have been approved by God {theos, Faithful Approver} to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not as pleasing people, but as pleasing God who examines our hearts. |
4. Dynamic Translation Instead, just as God {theos, Righteous Evaluator} has approved us to be entrusted with the message of good news, that is how we speak: not to please people, but God who searches our hearts. |
