15. Formal Translation By the Lord’s {Kyrios, Returning Judge} word, we make this declaration to you: that we who are alive and who persist until the coming of the Lord will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep. |
15. Dynamic Translation This is what the Lord {Kyrios, Faithful Witness} has entrusted to us: that we who are still living when He returns will certainly not precede those who have already died. |
