4. Formal Translation Thus says the LORD {Yahweh, Supreme Commander}, “You shall not go up nor fight against your brothers. Return, each man to his house.” For this matter is from Me. And they listened to the words of the LORD and returned from going against Jeroboam. |
4. Dynamic Translation The LORD {Yahweh, Divine Director} says, “Do not go up to fight against your relatives. Everyone, go home.” This is directly from Me. Then they obeyed the words of the LORD and went back from marching against Jeroboam. |
