וַיִּקָּבְצ֣וּ{va-yik-KA-be-tsu###vah-yik-KAA-beh-tsuh###and they gathered} עָלָ֗יו{a-LAIV###aa-LAIV###against him} אֲנָשִׁ֤ים{a-na-SHIM###ah-nah-SHEEM###men} רֵקִים֙{re-KIM###reh-KEEM###empty ones} בְּנֵ֣י{be-NE###beh-NEE###sons of} בְּלִיַּ֔עַל{be-li-YA-al###beh-lih-YA-ah l###worthlessness} וַיִּתְאַמְּצ֖וּ{va-yit-a-ME-tsu###vah-yit-’ahm-MEH-tsuh###and they strengthened themselves} עַל־רְחַבְעָ֣ם{al-re-kha-VA-am###ahl-reh-khah-VAA-ahm###against Rehoboam} בֶּן־שְׁלֹמֹ֑ה{ben-she-lo-MO###behn-sheh-loh-MOH###son of Solomon} וּרְחַבְעָ֗ם{u-re-kha-VA-am###oo-reh-khah-VAA-ahm###and Rehoboam} הָיָ֤ה{ha-YA###haa-YAA###was} נַ֙עַר֙{NA-ar###NAH-ahr###a youth} וְרַךְ־לֵבָ֔ב{ve-rakh-LE-vav###veh-rahkh-LEE-vahv###and tender of heart} וְלֹ֥א{ve-LO###veh-LOH###and not} הִתְחַזֵּ֖ק{hit-kha-ZEK###hiht-khah-ZEHk###he strengthened himself} לִפְנֵיהֶֽם׃{lif-ne-HEM###lihf-neh-HEH m###before them}
