| 7. Formal Translation And he said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and surround them with walls, towers, gates, and bars. The land is still before us, because we have sought the LORD our God {Yahweh Eloheinu, Covenant Rest Giver}. We have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered. |
| 7. Dynamic Translation He said to the people of Judah, “Let us build up these towns and defend them with walls, towers, gates, and bars while the land is still ours. We have been seeking the LORD our God {Yahweh Eloheinu, Source of Peace}, and because we have looked to Him, He has given us peace all around.” Then they built and prospered. |
