The vav-consecutive vayanach-lanu {וַיָּנַח־לָנוּ | wa-ya-nach-lā-nū} ‘and he gave us rest’ echoes Deuteronomic rest motifs, and the concluding pair vayivnu {וַיִּבְנוּ | wa-yiv-nū} ‘and they built’ and vayatslechu {וַיִּצְלְחוּ | wa-yats-le-ḥū} ‘and they prospered’ reflect divine enablement leading to successful construction and prosperity.
