Formal Translation Behold, Amariah the chief priest presides over you in every matter of the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Judge}, and Zebadiah son of Ishmael, the leader of the house of Judah, presides over every matter of the king. The Levites will serve as officers before you. Strengthen yourselves and act, and may the LORD be with the good. |

Dynamic Translation Note that Amariah the high priest has responsibility for every matter concerning the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Overseer}, while Zebadiah son of Ishmael, the leader of the house of Judah, attends to the king’s affairs. The Levites serve as officers before you. Be courageous and get to work, and may the LORD be with those who act righteously. |
