   and he brought out Jehoiada the priest {direct object marker} commanders of the hundreds appointed over the force or the army and he said to them bring her out to from within the ranks and the one coming after her shall be put to death with the sword for he said the priest not put her to death house of the LORD

Exegesis

The conjunction kî introduces the priest’s restriction in kî ʾāmar hakkōhēn lōʾ təmîṯūhā bēṯ YHWH {כִּ֚י אָמַר הַכֹּהֵן לֹא תְמִית֖וּהָ בֵּ֥ית יְהוָֽה | kî ʾāmar hakkōhēn lōʾ təmîṯūhā bēṯ YHWH} ‘for the priest had said, “Do not put her to death in the house of the LORD,”’ setting a sacred boundary that underscores the holiness of the sanctuary.
