| 18. Formal Translation Jehoiada set the oversight of the house of the LORD {Yahweh, Temple Sovereign} in the hands of the Levitical priests and the Levites, whom David had assigned over the house of the LORD, to offer burnt offerings to the LORD as it is written in the Law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, according to the arrangement of David. |
| 18. Dynamic Translation Jehoiada placed the responsibility for the LORD’s {Yahweh, Holy Place Ruler} temple in the care of the priests and Levites whom David had appointed, so they could present burnt offerings to the LORD just as the Law of Moses commands, celebrating with gladness and music, according to David’s instructions. |
