| 7. Formal Translation The Levites are to form a ring around the king on every side, each man holding his weapons in his hand. Whoever comes into the house is to be put to death. Stay with the king both at his entrance and at his departure. |
| 7. Dynamic Translation The Levites must stand guard around the king, each person armed and ready. If anyone enters the temple, they must be killed. The Levites should stay with the king wherever he goes, whether he enters or leaves. |
