| 23. Formal Translation And Joash, king of Israel, seized Amaziah, king of Judah, son of Joash, son of Jehoahaz, at Beth Shemesh and brought him to Jerusalem. Then he broke through the wall of Jerusalem from the Ephraim Gate up to the Corner Gate, a span of four hundred cubits. |
| 23. Dynamic Translation Joash, the king of Israel, captured Amaziah, the king of Judah, son of Joash and grandson of Jehoahaz, at Beth Shemesh. He brought him to Jerusalem and tore down the city wall from the Ephraim Gate to the Corner Gate, a distance of about four hundred cubits. |
