Formal Translation And the couriers went with the letters from the hand of the king and his officers throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the command of the king, saying, “Sons of Israel, return to the LORD {Yahweh, Covenant Restorer}, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel {Elohei Avraham Yitzchak veYisrael, Ancestral Promise Keeper}, and He will return to the remnant of you who have escaped from the hand of the kings of Assyria.” |

Dynamic Translation So the messengers traveled with the king’s letters and his officials’ orders through all Israel and Judah as he had commanded: “People of Israel, come back to the LORD {Yahweh, Deliverer}, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel {Elohei Avraham Yitzchak veYisrael, Family Covenant God}, and He will come back to those who are left and rescued from the power of the kings of Assyria.” |
