7. Formal Translation We now pray to God {Theos, Hearer of Prayer} that you do no evil at all; not so that we may appear approved, but so that you may do what is good, even if we should be found disapproved. |
7. Dynamic Translation We are praying to God {Theos, Guiding Protector} that you will not do anything wrong—not so that we may look approved, but so that you will do what is right, even if people may regard us as disapproved. |
