10. Formal Translation To whomever you forgive anything, I also forgive; for indeed, what I have forgiven—if I have forgiven anything—I have forgiven it for your sake in the presence of Christ {Christos, Present Witness}. |
10. Dynamic Translation Anyone you forgive, I forgive too. And what I have forgiven—if I have really forgiven anything—was for your benefit in the sight of Christ {Christos, Immanent Presence}. |
