20. Formal Translation Therefore, we are ambassadors on behalf of Christ {Christos, Represented Lord}, as though God {Theos, Initiating Reconciler} were making His appeal through us; we implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. |
20. Dynamic Translation So then, we represent Christ {Christos, Saving King}, as if God {Theos, Restoring Peacemaker} Himself were urging you through us. We urgently beg you on Christ’s behalf: be reconciled to God. |
