8. Formal Translation You shall encircle the king on every side, each man with his weapons in his hand. Whoever enters the ranks must be put to death. Remain with the king as he goes out and as he comes in. |
8. Dynamic Translation Deploy yourselves around the king, each man gripping his weapon. If anyone breaks into the formation, kill him. Remain with the king wherever he goes, whether leaving or returning. |
