And he did what was evil in the eyes of the LORD {Yahweh, Moral Judge}, and he walked after the sins of Jeroboam, son of Nebat, who caused Israel to sin; he did not turn aside from it.
2. Dynamic Translation
He did what was evil in the sight of the LORD {Yahweh, Righteous Evaluator} and kept following the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who led Israel into sin; he did not turn away from it.
