Exegesis

The double negative wə-’ēp̄es ‘āṣūr and wə-’ēp̄es ‘āzûḇ {וְאֶפֶס עָצוּר וְאֶפֶס עָזֻב} ‘and none confined and none abandoned’ pairs the negative particle with passive participles to convey absolute lack of any state.
