הוּא־הִכָּ֨ה{HU-HI-ka###HOO-HEE-kah###he struck} אֶת־אֱד֤וֹם{et-e-DOM###eht-eh-DOM###(direct object) Edom} בְּגֵיא־המלח{be-GE-a-ha-me-lakh###beh-GEE-ah-hah-meh-lahkh###in the valley of the salt} מֶ֙לַח֙{ME-lakh###MEH-lahkh###salt} עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת{a-SE-ret###ah-SEH-reht###ten (construct of)} אֲלָפִ֔ים{a-la-FIM###ah-la-FEEM###thousands} וְתָפַ֥שׂ{ve-ta-FAS###veh-taa-FAS###and he seized} אֶת־הַסֶּ֖לַע{et-ha-SE-la###eht-hah-SEH-lah###(direct object) the rock or Sela} בַּמִּלְחָמָ֑ה{ba-mil-kha-MA###bah-mihl-khaa-MAA###in the battle} וַיִּקְרָ֤א{va-yik-RA###vah-yik-RAA###and he called} אֶת־שְׁמָהּ֙{et-she-MA###eht-sheh-MAA###(direct object) its name} יָקְתְאֵ֔ל{yok-te-EL###yaak-teh-EEL###Joktheel} עַ֖ד{AD###AHD###until} הַיּ֥וֹם{ha-YOM###hah-YOHM###the day} הַזֶּֽה׃פ{ha-ZE###hah-ZEH###this}
