| 20. Formal Translation Menahem levied the silver from Israel, from all the mighty men of wealthy means, to give to the king of Assyria fifty shekels of silver for each man. Then the king of Assyria turned back and did not remain there in the land. |
| 20. Dynamic Translation Menahem raised silver from Israel, requiring payment of fifty shekels of silver from every man, to give to the Assyrian king. After that, the king of Assyria went back and did not stay there in the land. |
