13. Formal Translation And he said to him, “Please say to her, ‘Behold, you have shown all this anxious care for us; what can be done for you? Is there anyone to intercede for you with the king or with the commander of the army?’” And she said, “I dwell among my own people.” |
13. Dynamic Translation He said to him, “Please go and tell her, ‘Look, you have gone to great lengths for us—what can we do for you? Should I speak to the king or to the army commander on your behalf?’” She replied, “I am at home among my people.” |
