8. Formal Translation And it happened one day that Elisha passed to Shunem, where a great woman prevailed-upon him to eat bread. And whenever he passed by, he would turn aside there to eat bread. |
8. Dynamic Translation One day Elisha traveled to Shunem, where a prominent woman lived. She insisted that he share a meal with her, and from then on, whenever he came that way, he stopped there to eat. |
