Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) 2 Kings 6:11:1 ⧉וַיִּסָּעֵר֙vayissaerand was stormed or was agitated 2 Kings 6:11:2 ⧉לֵ֣בlevheart 2 Kings 6:11:3 ⧉מֶֽלֶךְ־אֲרָ֔םmelekharamking of Aram 2 Kings 6:11:4 ⧉עַל־הַדָּבָ֖רalhadavarover the matter 2 Kings 6:11:5 ⧉הַזֶּ֑הhazethis 2 Kings 6:11:6 ⧉וַיִּקְרָ֤אvayikraand he called 2 Kings 6:11:7 ⧉אֶל־עֲבָדָיו֙elavadavto his servants 2 Kings 6:11:8 ⧉וַיֹּ֣אמֶרvayomerand he said 2 Kings 6:11:9 ⧉אֲלֵיהֶ֔םalehemto them 2 Kings 6:11:10 ⧉הֲלוֹא֙halois it not 2 Kings 6:11:11 ⧉תַּגִּ֣ידוּtagiduyou will tell or you will declare 2 Kings 6:11:12 ⧉לִ֔יlito me 2 Kings 6:11:13 ⧉מִ֥יmiwho 2 Kings 6:11:14 ⧉מִשֶּׁלָ֖נוּmishelanufrom us or among us 2 Kings 6:11:15 ⧉אֶל־מֶ֥לֶךְelmelekhto the king of 2 Kings 6:11:16 ⧉יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃yisraelIsrael |
11. Formal Translation And the heart of the king of Aram was stirred over this matter, and he summoned his servants and said to them, “Will you not declare to me who from among us is for the king of Israel?” |
11. Dynamic Translation The king of Aram was enraged about this, so he called his officials and said, “Will someone tell me which of us is on the side of the king of Israel?” |
