2 Kings 6:18:1וַיֵּרְדוּ֮vayerduand they went down
2 Kings 6:18:2אֵלָיו֒elavto him 2 Kings 6:18:3וַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֨לvayitpalleland he prayed 2 Kings 6:18:4אֱלִישָׁ֤עelishaElisha 2 Kings 6:18:5אֶל־יְהוָה֙elyahwehto the LORD 2 Kings 6:18:6וַיֹּאמַ֔רvayomarand he said 2 Kings 6:18:7הַךְ־נָ֥אhaknastrike please 2 Kings 6:18:8אֶת־הַגּוֹי־הַזֶּ֖הethagoyhazethis nation 2 Kings 6:18:9בַּסַּנְוֵרִ֑יםbasanverimwith blindness 2 Kings 6:18:10וַיַּכֵּ֥םvayakkemand he struck them 2 Kings 6:18:11בַּסַּנְוֵרִ֖יםbasanverimwith blindness 2 Kings 6:18:12כִּדְבַ֥רkidvaraccording to the word of 2 Kings 6:18:13אֱלִישָֽׁע׃elishaElisha
18. Formal Translation
And as they came down to him, Elisha prayed to the LORD {Yahweh, Prayer Answerer} and said, “Please strike this people with blindness.” Then He struck them with blindness, according to the word of Elisha.
18. Dynamic Translation
When this army came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the LORD {Yahweh, Powerful Responder} and said, “Strike them with blindness.” Then the LORD struck them with blindness, just as Elisha had said.
