18. Formal Translation And as they came down to him, Elisha prayed to the LORD {Yahweh, Prayer Answerer} and said, “Please strike this people with blindness.” Then He struck them with blindness, according to the word of Elisha. |
18. Dynamic Translation When this army came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the LORD {Yahweh, Powerful Responder} and said, “Strike them with blindness.” Then the LORD struck them with blindness, just as Elisha had said. |
