15. Formal Translation And they went after them as far as the Jordan, and behold, the entire road was full of garments and vessels that the Arameans had thrown away in their haste. Then the messengers returned and reported to the king. |
15. Dynamic Translation They followed the Arameans to the Jordan River and discovered the route strewn with clothes and gear the soldiers had discarded in panic. Then the messengers went back and delivered their report to the king. |
